Like Jennifer Le Garde so aptly posted on her library blog,  we are all  honored to be a part of this "crowd sourced collection of over 100 essays from around the world about trends in school libraries written by librarians, teachers, publishers, and library vendors."   Napa USD has two articles in the collection.  The first is  the CSLA best practice Athletes as Readers and Leaders narrative and the second is a description of the collaborative partnership that exists between NVUSD and the Napa City County Library!
As Joyce Valenza said in her School Library Journal blog, "Holy collaboration!  Looking for some updated thinking about school libraries!" Take time to download these  thought provoking essays on what the future holds for our profession. (It is currently available through Smashwords in formats that allow you to read it both on your computer and/or a mobile device. In just a few weeks, however, you'll be able to also download it through several of the major eBook Stores (like iBooks and B&N).
